Marion Elliot is a designer and printmaker who works primarily with paper, using traditional printmaking techniques to create densely textured surfaces for her collage work. Her practice is deeply informed by a love of folk and vernacular art, drawing inspiration from shop fronts, fairgrounds, hand-painted signage, advertising imagery, typography, tattoos, workers’ guild banners, mottos, religious iconography and paper ephemera.

She has published 25 books on design subjects, including paper engineering and textiles, and has recently collaborated with publisher Joe Pearson of Design For Today on books celebrating the joy of the circus and Victorian teatimes. She also teaches on the BA Illustration course at Hereford College of Arts.
