Working from archived imagery is part of Archivist’s DNA (the clue’s in the name!). From mid-century textiles to our ever-growing vintage matchbox collection (we blame our eBay obsession), reworking and breathing new life into heritage artworks underpins everything we do.

Many of our designs find their roots in vintage matchbox labels and our love of phillumeny. Matchbox art is a joyful expression of creativity in miniature form — and throughout the 20th century, these pocket-sized treasures served as canvases for some of the world’s most talented artists and designers.
