The Printed Peanut

Louise Lockhart is the illustrator behind The Printed Peanut, a joyful world of colourful designs inspired by vintage textiles, folk art, and everyday life. After graduating from Glasgow School of Art, and armed with a love of print (and a jar of peanut butter), she began screen printing in the bathroom of her tiny apartment—and The Printed Peanut was born.

She’s the artist behind our beloved Sardine Matchbox and Perfect Match designs. Louise’s distinctive style—created using hand-cut paper shapes and her trusty brass scissors—is known for its playful lines, bold colours, and charming sense of humour.
